AIApply Alternatives: AIApply vs Applyinator (2026)
Weighing AIApply against other tools? What AIApply does, how its plans and auto-apply credits work as of October 2026, and when Applyinator fits better.
AIApply (aiapply.co) is an AI career platform that started with writing tools and grew into applying for you. It offers a resume builder, a cover letter generator, interview practice, a job board and an Auto Apply agent that finds matching listings, tailors your documents and submits applications. Auto Apply is paid for with credits, separately from the main subscription.
People look for AIApply alternatives when they want simpler pricing, when they do not need the writing tools and only want applications sent, or when they want a tool focused on particular portals. This post explains what AIApply does, how it charges as of October 2026, where it is strong, and how other tools compare. We build Applyinator, so we will be clear about where it is the weaker choice.
What AIApply does
From AIApply's website, as we read it in October 2026:
- AI Resume Builder. Resumes aimed at applicant tracking systems, with several templates and PDF or Word export.
- AI Cover Letter Generator. A tailored letter for each job posting.
- Interview tools. Mock interviews, feedback after interviews, and "Interview Buddy", which suggests answers live during an interview.
- Job board and smaller tools. A job board, a resume scanner and a resume translator.
- Auto Apply agent. It finds matching listings, tailors your documents, and submits applications for you. AIApply says you can review drafts before they are sent and track progress in a dashboard.
AIApply does not list on its pricing page which job sites its Auto Apply works on. An October 2026 review of AIApply describes three modes (fully automatic, hybrid, and review), a daily cap you set, and the agent sometimes creating employer portal accounts in your name. That review was written by a company that sells a competing service, so read it with that in mind.
AIApply pricing (as of October 2026)
AIApply's pricing works in two parts:
- Premium subscription. Unlimited access to the resume builder, cover letter generator, interview prep, job board and other tools. Billed monthly or annually, with a discount for annual billing.
- Auto Apply credits. Sold separately, in packs (AIApply gives 100 or 250 as examples). Credits are the only part sold on their own, because they are tied to the number of applications sent.
There is also a discounted Premium plan for verified students, and a limited free tier that lets you try some core tools.
AIApply's pricing page does not show exact dollar amounts, so we cannot quote official prices. Third-party reviews from 2026 report figures that vary, and one review checked in October 2026 found the pricing link redirecting to the homepage. AIApply says it handles refunds case by case. Check the checkout page for current prices before you buy.
Where AIApply is strong
- A full writing toolkit. If you want help writing resumes and cover letters, AIApply bundles a lot of it into one subscription.
- Interview preparation. Mock interviews and feedback go beyond what most auto-apply tools offer.
- Pay for the applying you use. Credits mean light users of Auto Apply do not pay for volume they never send, and heavy users can buy more.
- Review options. You can review drafts before they go out.
- Student pricing. A discount for verified students helps people on a budget.
- Free tier. You can try some tools before paying.
Where AIApply may not fit
- Two things to pay for. If you mainly want applications sent, you are buying credits on top of, or alongside, a writing subscription. Some people prefer one flat price.
- Generated documents. Tailored resumes and generated cover letters save time, but read them before they go out. Generic or inaccurate text is easy to spot. We look at when tailoring helps in how to tailor your resume to a job description, and at cover letters in do cover letters still matter.
- Unclear site coverage. AIApply does not publish a list of sites its agent applies on, so test it on your targets.
- Pricing transparency. Exact prices are not on the public pricing page.
How Applyinator differs
Applyinator is narrower: it focuses on submitting applications to company career sites. It is a hosted service, so there is no extension or app to keep open. You set your roles, cities, level and graduation timing once. It watches company career boards on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, SmartRecruiters, Workable, Recruitee, iCIMS and Oracle, plus public job feeds. When a matching posting appears, it submits the application in a real browser using the right one of the resumes you uploaded.
What you get:
- Portal accounts and codes. It creates Workday and other portal accounts when needed and reads verification codes from the inbox you connect (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo or iCloud). It only reads verification mail and never sends email. How Workday applications work explains why that step takes so long by hand.
- No guessing where it matters. It never guesses legal, immigration, sponsorship, clearance, citizenship, criminal history or EEO answers. Questions you have not answered wait under "Needs you"; you answer once and it is reused.
- A read-back before every submit. It stops if something looks wrong.
- Caps and dedupe. At most three applications per company per 30 days, and never the same job twice, even when the same posting is listed on two sites.
- Auto or review mode. Apply automatically, or approve each filled application first. Perry, the in-app assistant, helps you set up your profile and answers questions.
- Flat pricing. $10 a week, $30 a month, or $100 once for Lifetime (limited spots), with unlimited applications on every plan. No credits. There is no free plan, payments are final, and switching between weekly and monthly is prorated.
Where Applyinator is weaker than AIApply: it does not build, rewrite or tailor resumes, it does not write cover letters or essays from scratch, it has no interview practice tools, it has no free tier, it does not do LinkedIn Easy Apply, and it never logs into LinkedIn or messages anyone as you. It is best for students, new grads and early-career people who already have a resume they like and want to apply to many company-site postings, especially at Workday-heavy employers.
Who should pick AIApply, and who should pick Applyinator
Pick AIApply if you want an all-in-one toolkit for resumes, cover letters and interview prep, you like the idea of buying application volume as credits, or you want to try some tools free first.
Pick Applyinator if you already have your resumes, you want new postings on company career sites submitted as they appear, you want sensitive questions left for you, and you want one flat price with unlimited applications.
